HHS seeking support for Quality Improvement platform that hosts Salesforce and API services

A request for information posted late last month out of the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is drawing a lot of interest from the community of small businesses and established Salesforce partners who can lay claim to having direct experience delivering workflow management SaaS commercial products for the Federal sector.

Led by Lee Fleisher, M.D., the CMS Center for Clinical Standards and Quality (CCSQ) maintains a steadfast focus on improving outcomes, beneficiary experience of care, and population health, and reducing health care costs through improvement. The recent RFI out of CMS and in support of CCSQ states that CMS is contemplating establishing a solicitation to support the CMS Quality Collaboration Platform (CQCP), a Quality Improvement platform that hosts Salesforce and Application Program Interface (API) services.

CQCP will serve as a software solution to collect, attribute, analyze, and synthesize data from a range of sources and will generate meaningful reports, dashboards and insights. It will support the exchange of data between CMS, QIO awardees, providers (medical records), and other stakeholders, while serving as an end-to-end case management solution with an integrated collaboration platform that can easily adapt to meet emerging Quality Improvement initiatives and data analytics/reporting/visualization needs.

The RFI has closed for now, but the timing related to a potential RFP being released by CMS and the potential for further engagement with industry to clarify specific needs were discussed at an industry networking event last week. Details Here.

Through a combination of service delivery reform and technical assistance, the programs managed through the Center for Clinical Standards and Quality (CCSQ) and its iQuality Improvement and Innovation Group (iQIIG) have delivered significant results and improvement in quality, outcomes, and cost efficiency in hospitals, nursing homes, and local communities.

Companies looking to support this effort would be wise to reach out to some of the current technical providers and subject matter expertise supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services today to see if there are opportunities to partner.  To support your efforts, included below is a list of the most viewed large and small companies on the OS AI partner identification platform since January of 2023, each of which have direct experience and/or relationships with CMS.

** An Elev8 GovCon Honoree, noted for a corporate culture that demonstrates excellence, making the company a beacon for talent, for partners, and for clients.

We cannot and will not speculate here as to the reasons for the increased interest, but whether it is a company evaluating them as a potential partner; a federal acquisition leader doing their due diligence; or a consultant weighing their next job move, this group of companies has been receiving increased interest.
