Some of you may have stayed out too late at a Super Bowl party last night, but we have you covered. Members of the OrangeSlices AI team attended Friday’s Opportunities Talk, Who’s Listening HHS-focused online event and here we share more than 16 updates on upcoming RFPs that will help get you moving.

If you don’t go to these recurring and increasingly popular events hosted by Shelley McGuire, you are missing out. It is always a fun and well-run event filled with valuable updates and connections added every time. (Track her events here)

In the interests of sharing what we heard, for those who were unable to attend, included here are a few insights related to several upcoming and active requirements from across the Department of Health and Human Services at the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

*Please note that this is the way OS AI heard it. If you are pursuing any of these opportunities, we encourage you to validate this information. We all know how quickly things can change. If anyone heard something different from what we provided, please message us at news@orangeslices.ai and we will make any changes necessary.

CMS

Health Plan Management System (HPMS) (the large business portion that CGI Federal is the current incumbent on) – Evelyn Dixon is the CO. A sources sought may be coming around May 1 with an RFQ around June 15 and an award in place by November 1. This may go out as a small business requirement, but it will depend on the market research so anyone familiar with HPMS who has insight should weigh in. This has the potential to go small.

ACME – Nathaniel Barbato is the CO. No confirmed updates – There are some changes in leadership within CCSQ ISG so they are working hard to dot there Is and cross their Ts.

CMS Quality Collaboration Portal (CQCP) – Sabrina Thompson is the CO. The RFI just closed. This is slated as a FY24 procurement and there is talk on the table about a potential mini-industry day so keep an eye out.

Medicare Information Mgmt (MCIM) Data Analytics – The CO is Sabrina Thompson. Since this is not Agile, it will not be competed on DASH and will likely go GSA MAS. This has to be awarded this year so for those not on DASH this is your chance to show what you can do.

EQRS (2 Procurements) – The Portal component will be on DASH and the Scoring and Feedback portion is expected to go out on ACME. Sabrina Thompson is the CO.

EAOS EACMS Digital Services contract –  Aaron Blackshire is the CO. This is a small business set-aside action on GSA MAS. A draft SOO may be coming so that industry can see what is happening since so many are asking about it. A final solicitation should be out by the end of March.

Cloud Operations and ESS 2 Updates – These are ongoing and are currently waiting on Phase II quotes.

EAOS (Operations portion of the maximus contract) – This is still under review, but it is progressing.

CMS CCIIO Health Insurance Marketplace and Financial Management Operation and Analytics – The CO is Rachel Johnson. This will be a small business set aside action under NAICS 54151S for IT Professional Services. If it is not already out, they will be looking to release this February 15 on GSA MAS.

Civil Money Penalty Application and CMP Reinvestment – This looks to be going as a WOSB set aside action on GSA MAS. Ryan Kaufman is the CO. If it is not already out, they will be looking to release this February 18 on GSA MAS.

CAGE Environmental Standards – This was expected to go out in early Feb as 8(a) competitive … not sure what vehicle. Jonathan Nolan is the CO.

Analysis and Development of Alternative Methods for Measuring Practice Expenses and Related Inputs for Implementation of Updates to Payments under the Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) –  Evan Seltzer is the CS and Mohamed Islam is CO. This is in support of CMS developing a strategic roadmap focused on improved stability, predictability and accuracy to rate setting of physician services. This is still in the works and there are no further details yet, but keep an eye out if this is an area of interest.

Enhance Oncolocy Care Model Evaluation –  This is currently expected to go out on RMADA 2. The hope is that there may be a small business preference here but it is as yet unknown.

The Center for Medicare FFS Program Office support CMS is looking for companies who have familiarity with this program with capabilities in analytical software that serves as a collection hub for public comments and tools for categorizing, coding and developing a variety of reports. Those with capabilities AND expertise in this area should email Anita Allen with the subject line Medicare FFS capabilities. If you do not know this program please do not send your info at this time.

NIH

National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) Information Technology (IT) Applications Development Services and Support – Derek Bowks is the CO. This was released on eBuy and was supposed to close on the 14th of February but it has been extended to February 21 at 8am. Booz Allen Hamilton is the current contractor. The current contract is a $7M procurement. This will be an easy one to move from large to small if there are companies that have the required capabilities. [check out the recent research request from OS AI right here

National Institute on Aging (NIA) Intramural Research Program (IRP) IT Support and Services – Karen Mahon is the CO. This is a small business set aside action that is either on CIO-SP3 or GSA MAS. Keep a look out.

Application Development and Information Technology Services (ABITS) – Polina Klimenkova is the CO. This is expected to be a small bus set aside action on CIO-SP3 SB. It may be out already.
