The objective is to improve the effectiveness of NCSA’s data analytical products and tools and expedite data analysis processes to share insights gained from the data in a timely manner. This includes utilizing advanced statistical and cutting-edge data science techniques, such as ML, NLP, and other AI, to enhance current and additional data elements, data analysis, and to create user-friendly applications, data analysis tools, and dashboards for faster access to insights and trends. Additionally, this also entails exploring the use of analytical techniques to identify emerging crash trends, integrate supplementary data sources, develop monitoring programs for special studies, improve current projections and forecasts, and provide analytical training materials and documentation for users.
The Contractor shall become fully acquainted and gain a thorough understanding of the data, data tools, analytical products, outputs, and analysis conducted by NHTSA. This is an essential step in getting the Contractor prepared to address the requirements outlined in this SOW. To achieve this, the Contractor shall conduct an in-depth review of the data, tools, publications, and documentation currently used for analysis and insights. The Contractor shall use the information collected during this review to identify potential obstacles and solutions in completing the requirements listed in C.6.3 – C.6.13. The specific data, tools, publications, and documentation to be reviewed will be defined and agreed upon after the contract has been awarded. The Contractor shall provide a briefing to NHTSA and deliver a draft report that describes key findings and data insight gaps gathered from their knowledge gained from requirements C.6.2.1 – C.6.2.3. This task shall be completed prior to C.6.4 Requirement 4 – Workshop. After the workshop, the Contractor shall deliver an amended final report incorporating new information gathered during the workshop
