The latest word out of the US Air Force is that it is in the process of drafting the solicitation for the recompete of this 5-year contract to acquire contractor support to operate, maintain, sustain, and/or enhance the National Capital Region (NCR) Integrated Air Defense System (IADS) IT systems.  

The current active contract, which was awarded to Booz Allen Hamilton in 2018, was last competed on the Alliant GWAC. Details and spend to date can be found here. Known key subcontractors include Trident Systems and Mercury Systems 

The next iteration of this contract will support a range of locations, to include the Joint Air Defense Operations Center (JADOC) and all field sites throughout the NCR and surrounding areas in Maryland and Virginia. Neither the Air Force, nor GSA, have provided final acquisition related details at this time, but the current word is that this will be awarded in Q1 of 2024 and will once again be competed as unrestricted.
