Gearing up for $60.7B VA T4NG2 IDIQ win: Expiring tasks and potential recompetes come into focus

The latest update posted by the VA TAC doubles down on the aggressive RFP timeline in relation to the competition for this key multiple award IT services IDIQ out of the Department of Veterans Affairs, so those hoping for some relief appear to be out of luck, at least for the time being. While potential Prime bidders and key subs continue to prep for a bid, the OS AI team has fielded numerous requests from companies inquiring about upcoming task order recompetes. This should come as no surprise, as those familiar with the history of this contract understand the value in getting out of the gate fast.

To help with these efforts, included below is a list of three dozen tasks set to expire over the next 18 months that are drawing the most inquiries and clicks, as well as a look at three dozen of the most viewed SDVOSB firms on the OS AI partner identification platform.

OS AI Note – Dance Lightly. Do know that some of these potential requirements will NOT end up being recompeted for any number of reasons (e.g., contract consolidation, extension, cancellation, etc) and/or they are already in flight, but this list, which includes many requirements that will not expire until 2024, can serve as a great foundation as you build out your pipeline and start to have teaming discussions. These are starting points.

We should note as well that we have opted to point all links to the NextStage tool, rather than USA Spend. This intelligence tool and CRM has quickly moved up the list as one of our favorite tools to make life a little easier.

It is definitely worth a demo if you are in the market for a Federal GovCon specific intel and/or CRM product.

The set of upcoming expiring contracts and potential recompetes we have received the most inquiries and interest about over the past 6 months include:

Please note that for the purposes of this report, we are *defining small business as a company that self-identifies in SAM as a small business under $30M, calculated using a multi-year average revenue calculation. ** An Elev8 GovCon Honoree, noted for a corporate culture that demonstrates its own excellence, making the company a beacon for talent, for partners, and for clients.

We cannot and will not speculate here as to the reasons for the increased interest, but whether it is a company evaluating them as a potential partner; a federal acquisition leader doing their due diligence; or a consultant weighing their next job move, this group of companies has been receiving increased interest.
