The Department of Commerce has announced plans for its 2026 Small Business Industry Day, an event expected to draw significant interest from small businesses, prime contractors, and vendors looking to better understand upcoming opportunities across the agency.
Scheduled for mid July in Silver Spring, Maryland, the event is designed to provide attendees with insight into current contracting opportunities, acquisition priorities, small business policies, and upcoming procurement needs across the Department of Commerce.
According to the notice, attendees will have direct access to Department leadership, acquisition officials, program offices, vendors, and prime contractors, with networking and partnership discussions expected to be a major focus throughout the day.
The event is positioned to support both companies new to the federal market and experienced contractors seeking to strengthen relationships and identify new paths for growth within the Department of Commerce ecosystem.
For many in the GovCon community, this type of engagement opportunity continues to serve as an early indicator into agency priorities, procurement direction, and potential teaming activity heading into FY27.
