Army Consolidates Intelligence and Automation Operations Work at Fort Belvoir. Small Businesses to Take the Lead

A new notice from the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) highlights a notable shift for small businesses supporting intelligence mission operations.

Under Notice ID W50NH9-26-R-A002, the Army plans to consolidate a pair of Intelligence and Automation Operations support contracts at Fort Belvoir into a single acquisition. The requirement combines services currently performed under Task Order W50NH9-22-F-0012 (Contract HHM402-19-D-0021) and Task Order W50NH9-24-F-0084 (Contract W52P1J-18-D-A095), both of which were previously awarded separately to large business concerns.

The government stated that consolidating the work will improve operational efficiency, enhance integration of services, reduce administrative duplication, and strengthen mission effectiveness.

Importantly for the small business community, the new consolidated acquisition will be issued as a 100 percent small business set-aside, shifting work previously performed by large businesses into the small business pool. The strategy is intended to increase small business participation and aligns with agency small business objectives.
