The Federal Aviation Administration has cancelled its planned Acquisition Support Services Contract (ASSC), ending its effort to establish a single contract supporting acquisition and contracting organizations across the agency.
According to the latest update, the FAA determined that consolidating acquisition support services for multiple Acquisition and Contracting (AAQ) organizations is not in the agency’s best interest and will no longer pursue the procurement. The agency stated that vendors should not anticipate a solicitation, contract award, or additional updates related to this requirement.
The draft Performance Work Statement described a contract that would have provided professional acquisition support services across multiple FAA acquisition organizations, including procurement planning, contract administration, cost and pricing analysis, and business and financial support.
The FAA noted that existing acquisition support requirements may or may not result in future procurements of a similar scope. Any future requirements will be managed by individual AAQ organizations and, where appropriate, are expected to use firm-fixed-price contracts in accordance with FAA procurement policies.
