Unique Perspective to Share
When I separated from government service, I didn’t plan to return to the workforce but a few months and a few gallons of caffeine into life with two little ones, I missed it. I have worked with many government contractors and J29 immediately stood out to me because of their employee centric culture. I’m very excited to be part of an organization that pours back into the people that make it successful. I’ve always loved mentoring and supporting both professional and personal development. I’m looking forward to not only sharing my unique perspective as a former government client, but also years of experience leading high-performing subject matter experts in the Medicare and medical review space.
Challenging the Status Quo to do Better
As the CMS Engagement Leader for J29, my goal is to ensure we are meeting the expectations of our CMS partners, learning their pain points, and bringing new solutions to the table. One of J29’s core principles is that we are not bound by convention, meaning we are committed to embracing positive change, even if that means a challenge to the status quo. If we approach each opportunity with the desire to leave the programs better than we found them, and make sure that effort is realized, success is the only possible outcome.
Better Preparing to Support Government
Now, more than ever, contracts and contractors are being scrutinized to ensure we are all good stewards of tax-payer dollars. Just as the government documents to provide justification for CPARs ratings, I think contractors can be much better about preparing for evaluations and supporting their ratings through documentation and communication. As a clinician, I was taught: ‘if it wasn’t documented, it didn’t happen.’ On the flip side, if something is documented, with strictly the facts, it’s difficult to dispute.
Seeking Next Level Partners to do Great Work
J29 is always looking for culturally similar companies that can compliment our capabilities and help us take our programs to the next level. Future partners are welcome reach out o Dion Trahan, J29’s VP of Growth or I to explore opportunities.
One of my personal favorite quotes is by Mark Barwiz, who said: “It’s what you give of yourself to somebody else to make them great, that eventually is what makes you great.” He shares this sentiment during a TedTalk about untapped potential. I think we all have a bit of untapped potential but in the right environment, our potential can become a reality. I’m very excited to find myself in an environment like J29 where I think we are going to be able to tap into some incredible potential and do great work.
