Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL), a national laboratory within the Department of Energy, is hereby soliciting information from potential sources for Project Management & Control Consulting Services in support of EVMS improvement in developing and delivering work projects, trainings, modules, and support for EVMS.
The purpose of this procurement is to develop and deliver work products, trainings, modules, and support for a hands-on, rapid-improvement transformation of PPPL’s EVMS over the course of about 12 months. This work will be based on PPPL’s Corrective Action Plan from the December 2023 EVMS independent assessment. A key milestone is the DOE Independent Project Review for the Princeton Plasma Innovation Center (PPIC) project’s Critical Decision 2/3 (CD-2/3) scheduled for the end of August 2024. Success at this review will require PPPL’s EVMS to be above reproach with substantial progress against elements of the Corrective Action Plan. The objectives are therefore:
- Address the EVMS shortcomings noted in the latest surveillance report,
- Develop and/or make improvements to selected, standardized processes, tools and project-controls deliverables,
- Elevate the EVMS knowledgebase of all stakeholders, including Control Account Managers (CAMs) and Project Controls Specialists (PCSs), and
- Perform well in the PPIC CD2/3 review as well as the 2024 EVMS surveillance review.
