The Contractor shall provide all equipment, software, services, labor, and maintenance for an outbound Veteran’s communication system identified in Salient Characteristics. The system shall be Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card enabled.

Equipment Rental. The Contractor shall perform all services on the mail hardware such as: installation, deinstallation, maintenance, repair and/or replacement, relocations, training and responding and resolving incidents, service requests and changes, transportation, service delivery management system(s), equipment, parts, and all required supplies necessary for operation of the mail hardware.
Software Requirements. The Contractor shall provide a software package which meets the following technical requirements:
- The provided software must produce production control barcodes on every page of every mail piece, to automate inserting by the contractor provided hardware system; The software must support VMWare, run on Windows 64-Bit physical Server, or logical VMWare Server partition for Windows. The software shall accept PDF files as input and shall be capable of indexing the address fields in different locations for different types of jobs …
Maintenance and Service. The Contractor shall perform the following annual maintenance support services covering hardware and software including routine, periodic preventative maintenance, upgrades and enhancements, and repair efforts to return the system to service in the event of failure. The period of performance (POP) shall continue through the base period of twelve (12) months, with the option for four (4) 12-month option periods.
