USAF Sources Sought: AFMC Integrated Development Office (AFMC/IDO) Technical and Management Support Services

The Air Force Materiel Command Integrated Development Office (AFMC/IDO) is responsible for developing integrated capabilities across the acquisition portfolio, performing analysis, developing prototypes, and conducting experiments to realize the future force design for the United States Air Force.

Scope.  The USAF has a need for technical and management expertise to support the development of integrated capabilities and technologies. The purpose of this Performance Work Statement (PWS) is to convey the type and scope of resources needed to support AFMC/IDO.  All identified positions are critical acquisition positions that will bring the required skills, knowledge, and abilities to augment the AFMC/IDO staff to ensure scheduled activities successfully execute to meet the program’s cost, schedule, and performance objectives.

Objectives. The overarching objectives described in this PWS include but are not limited to:

  1. Providing advice on the most effective avenues for disseminating branding, marketing, and communication information pertaining to development efforts.
  2. Facilitating the development, deployment, operation and expansion of critical standard, services and infrastructure.
  3. Providing long-term continuity and a viable security program to support AFMC/IDO security activities at all levels.
  4. Capturing and refining information security requirements and ensure the requirements are effectively integrated into information systems.
  5. Ensuring that technical projects are executed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with technical requirements.
  6. Documenting information technology (IT) security guidelines and technical standards to ensure ease of implementation and installation of applications software and hardware.

A strong business relationship between the contractor and the Government is a key element to that support.  Within this context, the Government will monitor the contractor’s contribution to business relations and provide feedback as required.  The contractor shall make every effort to establish and maintain clear and constant communication with the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) …
