DOE ESIF Electronic Records Management System and Implementation Services

Notice ID: SS-2024-3004

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is a national laboratory owned by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). NREL is the only federal laboratory dedicated to research, development, commercialization, and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. NREL is managed and operated for DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy by The Alliance for Sustainable Energy (Alliance), the “M&O Contractor”. The ESIF (Energy System Integration Facility) Operations department at NREL aims to establish a unified and reliable source of records, drawings, and documented processes in line with industry standards. The department seeks a robust system that will address ESIF’s current operational challenges and facilitate improved document management, compliance, collaboration, and efficiency. Furthermore, ESIF Operations recognizes an industry-typical electronic document and records management system (ERM) as a valuable opportunity to enhance overall workflows. The department prefers a solution which demonstrates scalability, possibly towards a larger user base at NREL.

The objective of this Sources Sought is to identify potential subcontracting companies that are qualified and capable of meeting the project objectives. The project objective, at a high level, is to acquire and implement an ERM solution, which will serve as a unified and reliable source of records, drawings, and documented processes in line with industry standards.
