Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (SAF/AQ) is publishing this Request for Information (RFI) and seeking to conduct market research for a follow-on recompete effort for Staffing and Technical Acquisition Services Support (STAQSS). This is an Advisory and Assistance professional services contract opportunity that supports all SAF/AQ. Services include providing information, analyses, recommendations, and more in the areas of systems and specialty engineering support (including test and evaluation expertise), acquisition life cycle support, legislative analysis, and more.
Scope. This task order supports the SAF/AQ organization, other PEOs as directed, and other HAF organizations where it is in the interest of the SAF/AQ to have an acquisition support presence within that organization. The objective is to provide specialized expertise to complement the organization’s inherent resources for effective and efficient mission accomplishment and continuity, introduction of innovation, and enhancement of technical competence. The contractor shall support the entire spectrum of acquisition and sustainment efforts as necessary to support the respective Government organizations.
The contractor’s output may take the form of information, advice, opinions, reports, alternatives, analyses, evaluations, recommendations, Information Technology (IT) tools, training, and/or services to complement the Government’s expertise and to allow the Government to function more efficiently. The nature of the work will at times require that the contractor be capable of quick response to stringent deadlines. Typically, but not all-inclusively, the contractor will be required to provide expertise in the areas of program analysis, policy analysis, budget and financial analysis, administrative technical support, facilities engineering, business reengineering analysis, database development, internet/intranet development, enterprise architecture development, information assurance, software application development (including Modeling and Simulation (M&S) support), requirements development, technology analysis, legislative analysis, systems and specialty engineering support including test and evaluation expertise, acquisition life cycle support, acquisition manpower development and certification …
