The U.S. National Science Foundation Division of Administrative Services Visitor Center and Badging Office has awarded Electrosoft a $4.2M prime contract for Visitor Center and Badging Office Support. Electrosoft has been serving NSF’s Visitor Center and Badging Office since 2020, providing Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card issuance, Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) compliance, and facility visitor support. The four-year follow-on contract has one base year plus three option years.

“In welcoming and credentialling visitors, staff, and contractors to its Alexandria, Virginia headquarters, the NSF must balance efficiency and security for its identity credential issuance, identity validation, and access,” said Mike Tillman, COO of Electrosoft. “We are proud that NSF has recognized the exceptional contributions of our team over the past four years and has trusted us to continue in this important work together.”

Under the contract, Electrosoft will continue performing Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 (HSPD-12) and administrative services to operate the NSF Identification Card Office, issuing PIV credentials to all personnel and contractors. Used with proximity card readers, the credentials ensure a safe and efficient access control system while protecting personal privacy.

Electrosoft also receives and acclimates NSF visitors at the agency’s headquarters. As a “first stop” information source for agency staff, contractors, visitors, and the public, the NSF Visitor Center receives and processes tens of thousands of visitors, phone calls, and email inquiries annually.
