This contract is intended to provide NASA SMA departments with support to effectively perform riskbased mission assurance. In addition, it reflects the desired excellence in safety, risk management, reliability engineering, quality engineering and mission assurance at the centers. In supporting NASA SMA departments, the Contractor shall provide a risk-based approach, as defined in NPR/GPR8705.4, to the flow-down, tailoring, and implementation of the following mission assurance services: o Flight, Operations, and Ground Systems Assurance o System SafetyEngineering o Range Safety Engineering o Reliability Engineering (Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability) o Mission Software Assurance Engineering o Quality Engineering o Workmanship Services o Metrology and Calibration/Repair Service of Measurement and Test Equipment o Lifting Devices & Equipment Certifications o Pressure Vessel Systems Certifications o Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Control o Training o Systems and Heritage Reviews o Quality Management Systems o Range Operations o Explosives Safety program management o Range Flight Safety Analysis
