The Silicon Valley Defense Group (SVDG) is sharing significant news that marks a new chapter in our mission towards driving impactful change at the intersection of technology and national security.
Jacqueline Tame – a longtime Partner and new Executive Board Member – has been appointed Acting Executive Director of SVDG. Jacqueline brings experience in both the private sector and government, including senior roles in the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and on the Hill. Her last government role as Acting Deputy Director of DoD’s Joint AI Center fueled her passion for bringing the best technologies into the national security ecosystem, and led her into several roles with cutting edge hardware and software companies. Most recently, Jacqueline became an Operating Partner with Playground Global, an early-stage, deep tech venture capital firm.
“Jacqueline’s tenure at SVDG has already been marked by visionary leadership and a deep commitment to our mission,” said James Cross, SVDG’s Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of the Board. “Her expertise and passion for fostering meaningful advancements in policy and technology make her the ideal leader to steer SVDG forward.”
Sam Gray, SVDG’s Inaugural Executive Director, will continue to support the organization’s mission through service on its Board of Directors.
“I am incredibly excited to continue this journey with SVDG as Acting Executive Director,” said Jacqueline. “This is an organization unlike any other I have ever been a part of. Sam, Sarah, Dylan, our fellows, advisors, and board have laid an incredible foundation upon which we will build; and I am deeply committed to ensuring that we are truly strategic and ruthlessly focused only on initiatives and in areas we are uniquely positioned to help improve our country’s ability to effectively leverage emerging technology for national and global security.”
