Sanja Basaric has announced this her last week at HHS. As I reflect on the past couple years I am filled with immense gratitude and humility for this transformative role. It has truly been one of the biggest honors of my career. My fellow government agency, industry, and academic colleagues for inspiring me with your innovation and collaborative ingenuity and spirit. And to all the hard-working unsung heroes in any internal operation- whether that’s contracting, security, human capital, etc.- let me be clear that these agencies simply could not function without you. Thank you. It’s time for my next adventure and I am thrilled to be joining the DoD Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office.
