This action is to issue a firm-fixed-price task order (TO) against the JWCC Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract for AvMC Cloud Capabilities. This TO will be issued JA24-094 AvMC Cloud Capabilities directly to Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The anticipated period of performance (PoP) is for a 1-year base period, plus three 1-year option periods.
DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES/SERVICES: Gain connectivity to AWS Gov CSP for Cloud and enable Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) functionality. Additionally, require connectivity to AWS Gov to leverage VMware Cloud (VMC) on AWS licenses/hosts that AvMC acquired from VMware Army Enterprise License Agreement (ELA) and would like to use as Continuation of Operations/Disaster Recovery (COOP/DR) capability…
The cloud service offerings must continue at their current level in order to support DR/COOP options for AvMC, and ability for AvMC to manage development IaaS requirements and use of managed cloud services. VMware was chosen because AvMC uses that virtualization technology on premise and the Army VMware ELA made it an easy and cost-effective way to get a DR/COOP site without capital expenditures. Thus, the current Government need is for a CSP that can seamlessly integrate with its current architecture.
