When a company that is known largely for its support of a particular agency makes a strategic hire that seems to turn its attention elsewhere, we take notice. Here we catch up with Yessenia Castillo, the latest hire for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) Ibility to find out more.

Why the move to Ibility?

I decided to move to Ibility because of the values and direction of this company. From the very first meeting with Danielle and Ken, it is clear they put their people first and understand the value of their employees. They want to grow, change lives, and make an impact in the world. I want to be a part of that. Danielle, Ken, and Ibility are well-respected in the GovCon community and this was important to me – to find an organization that has the same values as me.

What is it about the company you are excited about?

I am most excited about collaborating with the Ibility family and partners to help this company grow. Danielle and Ken have given me the opportunity to be one of the first to join their executive team and I can’t wait to strategize and contribute to their success. I look forward to using my public health and epidemiology background to bring new work to Ibility that is transformative, innovative, and inspirational.

What does your addition mean for Ibility in terms of future strategies/ plans?

My addition is a testament to the investment Ibility has taken to grow into new markets and expand upon their existing capabilities. They have accomplished so much in a short amount of time that has made this position and my addition possible. Future plans are to expand into HHS, DHS, DOD, and DHA! We are excited for the opportunity to support these new agencies and show them what the Ibility team can do.

Business today seems to be all about partners. Who do you want reaching out to you?

I am proud to be at an organization that understands the value of partners. I welcome any partner who wants to join us on this journey as we expand into new agencies! As a small business, we are open to other small businesses that would like to partner – let’s help each other grow. We also want to partner with some large business where the partnership is reciprocated and we become their ”go to” small business partner. Partners should know that Ibility is a SDVOSB, WOSB, EDWOSB, and is pursuing an 8a certification.

Is there anything else you would like people to know?

I want people to also know that Ibility has taken strides to differentiate themselves from the competition, and at times cutthroat, environment of GovCon. They are trusted partners, believe in the work they do, truly want to help communities in need, and they challenge the status quo. I encourage partners to learn more about Ibility and join us on this journey. Together we are stronger and can revolutionize the industry to bring the focus back to what matters – inspiring people, do cool stuff, and make a lasting impact on the world (Ibility’s mission).
