Brandon Utt Joins Aquia as Vice President of Business Development

Aquia Inc., a cloud and cybersecurity digital services firm, today announced that Brandon Utt has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development. Formerly the VP of Growth at MKS2 Technologies and a Contracting Officer at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Utt brings more than 20 years of government contracting experience and deep VA expertise to his role overseeing growth and expansion opportunities at Aquia.

“Brandon’s proven track record, combined with his genuine commitment to improving Veterans’ lives, perfectly aligns with our mission,” said David Maskeroni, chief revenue officer and co-founder of Aquia. “Beyond his impressive expertise in the VA ecosystem, Brandon is exactly the kind of leader we want to help shape our future. He’s a force in the federal space and, more importantly, someone who truly embodies our values. We’re excited to work alongside him as we continue expanding our impact at VA and beyond.”

Utt joins Aquia with extensive experience in federal growth strategy and execution. In previous executive-level roles, Utt has consistently driven organizational growth, including leading teams to achieve tenfold revenue increases over five-year periods and managing annual pipelines exceeding $300M in federal opportunities. His expertise spans the full business development lifecycle, from strategic planning and capture to proposal development and program execution.

In the public sector, he served as a Contracting Officer at the VA’s Technology Acquisition Center, where he played a key role in major IT procurement initiatives including the T4 program. Prior to VA, Utt supported the Department of the Army as a contracting professional at the CECOM Acquisition Center, Fort Monmouth, NJ.

“I’m excited to join Aquia at this pivotal moment in their journey as they expand their reach and continue to deliver elegant, modern digital solutions,” said Brandon Utt, vice president of business development at Aquia. “The team already has a strong reputation as being experts in cloud infrastructure and cyber, which perfectly aligns with the government’s digital transformation priorities — particularly at VA. I look forward to leveraging my background in federal acquisition to accelerate Aquia’s growth and enhance the services we deliver to our Veterans, citizens, and government customers.”
