Aptive received a new contract with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Indian Health Service (IHS) to support the Produce Prescription Pilot Program (P4). This contract has a five-year period of performance and was secured through a full and open competition.
Under this contract, Aptive will partner with IHS to help tribal communities reduce food insecurity and improve diet-related health outcomes. Aptive’s work will include designing and managing an evaluation framework to measure program effectiveness, collecting and analyzing data and reporting on outcomes. The team will also provide technical assistance and deliver training and webinars on nutrition security, food insecurity assessment and effective program implementation.
“Our work with IHS is a meaningful opportunity to strengthen tribal organizations working tirelessly to improve health outcomes in their communities,” said Sean Lenehan, Chief Operating Officer at Aptive. “We are proud to support P4’s mission by providing evaluation, training and technical expertise that will help ensure this initiative is impactful and sustainable.”
