Department of Commerce Chief Data Officer adds role as Acting Under Secretary for Economics Affairs

Armed with perspective gained leading the Department’s data strategy, advancing capacity for evidence-based decision making, and aligning and scaling the Department’s data resources to better meet the needs of users, this leader takes on a new challenge.

Oliver Wise, Chief Data Officer with the Department of Commerce, is also now listed as Acting Under Secretary for Economics Affairs. In this role Oliver will oversee the Census Bureau, the Bureau of Economic Analysis, and the Chief Economist’s office.
