Announcing the Newest Member of the Softrams Advisory Board, Sonny Hashmi

The Softrams Advisory Board welcomes its newest member, Sonny Hashmi. Sonny is a leader in public sector technology, having served as the former Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner and Chief Information Officer at the General Services Administration.

“I am really excited to join the advisory board at Softrams, as the company scales to supercharge its growth in a competitive marketplace,” said Sonny. “I have always been excited to help innovative companies grow in the federal market, and Softrams’ past performance and expertise in emerging technology areas including AI, CX, Data, and DevOps makes them ideally suited to help government agencies achieve greater mission outcomes.”

While at the General Services Administration, Sonny led strategies that resulted in massive portfolio growth and comprehensive digital transformation for the agency. His management of global acquisition, marketplace management, and solution delivery grew the agency’s annual portfolio from $75 billion to $102 billion over the course of three years. His government-wide technology transformation strategy prioritized cybersecurity, sustainability, small business enablement, and supply chain resiliency.

Sonny also brings more than twenty years of experience in the public and private sectors to the advisory board. In addition to his roles at the General Services Administration, Sonny has accumulated experience architecting and managing large-scale IT systems at private companies like Unqork, Box, IBM and Xerox, and has taught as an adjunct instructor at the Stratford University School of Business and School of Information Technology. His dedication to innovative technologies and strategies will be critical for Softrams’ direction and vision for the future. We look forward to having him as one of our guiding advisory board members!
