Caladwich Consulting, a leading 8(a) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), has been awarded a significant $7.8 million contract to manage material handling operations at multiple National Institutes of Health (NIH) buildings.

This contract marks Caladwich Consulting’s successful entry into the NIH market as a prime contractor and represents their second contract with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). As a 8(a) and SDVOSB, the company is committed to empowering veteran-owned businesses and contributing to the economic growth of veteran-owned communities.

Under the terms of the contract, Caladwich Consulting will be responsible for the efficient and secure receipt, storage, and delivery of materials and equipment across seven NIH buildings and several off-campus facilities within a five-mile radius. Key responsibilities under the contract include:

Manpower and Scheduling: Providing trained personnel to manage deliveries, operate material handling equipment, and ensure efficient scheduling for incoming and outgoing shipments.

Receiving and Verification: Verifying shipments against documentation, inspecting deliveries for damage, and handling any discrepancies.

Delivery and Storage: Delivering materials to designated locations within buildings, maintaining organized storage areas, and following proper safety protocols.

Dry Ice and Gas Cylinder Management: Implementing specific safety protocols for the secure handling and delivery of dry ice and gas cylinders within designated buildings.Quality Control: Establishing and maintaining a quality control program to ensure services meet all contract requirements and relevant standards.
