USPTO names new Deputy Chief Information Security Officer

Armed with perspective gained over more than a decade in support of the agency, this rising leader takes on a new challenge.

Erin Heard is now listed as Deputy Chief Information Security Officer with the US Patent and Trademark Office.

In announcing the move Erin shared:

I am so excited to share my new role as Deputy Chief Information Security Officer at USPTO! After nearly 20 years of work in Patent Prosecution, this new role is an opportunity to support American Innovation through secure information systems. Thank you to my exceptional colleagues in USPTO OCIO who have supported me in my journey to cybersecurity!
