This acquisition is a follow-on sole source effort to Solid State Scientific Corporation (SSSC), a small business under NAICS 541990. This requirement is in support of Head Quarter (HQ) Air Force Flight Standards Agency (AFFSA) to provide IT support necessary to perform support and maintenance services to accomplish application hosting services using the PaaS (Platform as a Service) cloud computing model for the maintenance of the Airfield Operations Data Management System (AODMS).
The previous contract (FA8136-23-P-0007) was awarded to SSSC for a period of 12 months (31 July 2022 – 30 July 23) in the amount of $ The term of this effort will consist of a 12 month period. This requirement has been determined to be a commercial service in accordance with FAR 2.101. The procedures in FAR 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services will be utilized for this acquisition. The estimated contract value is $ with a POP date of 31 July 2024 through 30 July 2025. This requirement will be a Firm Fixed Price type contract.
Provide the IT support necessary to perform support and maintenance services to accomplish hosting services using the PaaS (Platform as a Service) cloud computing model for the maintenance of the Airfield Operations Data Management System (AODMS).
Any potential contractors must have a current FedRAMP designation as a Cloud Service Provider and must be authorized to provide Information Level-4 Platform as a Service (PaaS) as a Cloud Service Offering.
At this stage of the usage and transition of the data management system, it would be disastrous to our stakeholders if we were to interrupt our cloud service and step-backward with a new CSP. While we are reviewing Cloud One migrations, we are deeply invested and reliant on our current CSP due to their unique and well-established knowledge/ understanding of our system.
