Treasury’s Chief Customer Officer to take role driving Fiscal Ops and Policy

Armed with perspective gained over multiple roles of growing responsibility within the Treasury Department, this leader has announced he will be taking on a new role.

Matt Garber has announced he will be taking on a new challenge as Dep. Asst. Secretary for Fiscal Operations & Policy.

In posting the news Matt shared:

In a few weeks, I will be heading back to the department to serve Treasury’s mission in a different capacity as Dep. Asst. Secretary for Fiscal Operations & Policy.   📣 That means… my current role (Chief Customer Officer) is now open. This is an amazing opportunity for any customer-focused, mission-oriented, public-serving executive. 📣   Meeting the expectations of the American public is at the heart of the Fiscal Service’s vision for the future. We’ve made great strides over the past few years in building a customer-centric culture and improving the citizen experience – 🛠 but the work is never done 🛠.   As the financial management leader for all of government, Fiscal Service engages with tens-of-millions of citizens and countless more businesses, governments, institutions and other entities through our direct-to-consumer financial products from savings bonds to pay.gov. We serve hundreds-of-millions more through our support of federal agencies’ financial management – making sure the often life-saving government benefits get to right folks as fast and secure as possible.
