State Dept to award Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS) PM & IV&V Sole-Source to LMI

Notice ID: 19AQMM24Q0107

  • Contract Award Date: Jun 17, 2024
  • Contract Award Number: 19AQMM24A0198

The requirement Is to provide IV&V and Program Management support for Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS) services at various worldwide locations.

The estimated value for the entire period of performance is $1,554,651 including options. The IV&V work is essential to ensure that the software that is pushed to production has a very low defect rate; this is accomplished by working to find errors with the software that may be overlooked by the development team or may have gone unconsidered.

Using an independent company ensures that this testing is done from a user’s perspective and avoids the bias of the development team, which is used to seeing the software from the inside out and may not be able to easily put themselves into the role of an end-user. Lack of coverage can introduce defects and security risks to the system that can lead to an outage impacting essential functions and users worldwide.

These services will allow the Office of Logistics Management, Program Management Support, to accomplish their mission objective of supporting the ILMS system and its components that provide shared services to over 110,000 interagency customers worldwide and supports $3.4 billion in services annually as the Department’s standard service delivery platform.
