The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has awarded Sierra7, Inc., a Task Order under the CIO-SP3 contract vehicle to provide the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) with Category Management and Continuity of Operations Program (COOP) Support Services. USDA OCIO develops, delivers, and defends the business information technologies that support the well-being of American agriculture, protect and conserve natural resources, facilitate rural development, and provide a safe, sufficient, and nutritious food supply.

Sierra7’s skilled staff will deliver Category Management support, including developing strategic business practices that help USDA’s purchasing activities function like a single enterprise. This will result in an enterprise framework that consistently delivers savings and efficiency for all buying activities. Sierra7’s COOP support services will include developing and updating the documentation for the overall OCIO COOP Program, performing Concept of Operations revalidation, assisting the OCIO COOP manager with the implementation and testing of OCIO COOP plans, and participating in the OCIO emergency coordinator program.

“Our team is honored to receive this contract award supporting the U.S. Department of Agriculture with Category Management and COOP Support,” said Gina Gallagher, Sierra7’s Chief Growth Officer. “We look forward to continuing to serve USDA by providing quality staffing and solutions supporting OCIO’s mission.”
