SEWP VI Partner Request: New WOSB Robotics Engineering and Integration focused JV seeking Large and Small Business Primes

OS AI recently received a request from this new entrant WOSB JV focused on Robotics Engineering and Integration, American Droid, which brings together a woman-owned consulting firm focused on advanced technology solutions for public service missions and organizations, and a robotics firm with over two decades of experience building thousands of robots for government and commercial customers. American Droid is seeking partners pursuing SEWP VI, expected to be released soon.

The Ask:

“We are looking to join Large Business and Small Business prime contractors that are submitting bids for Category A under SEWP VI. Specifically, filling the “Technical Area 4a, additional sub-areas “Drones / Robotics: non-offensive, data collection only” requirement under Category A in the RFP.

Beyond SEWP VI, our team is looking to build relationships with Prime contract holders that support Federal customers seeking to acquire pre-built and custom robots. There is a noticeable increase for robotic solutions across the Federal space, but there are very few businesses today across the United States that can execute robot design, fabrication, and production to meet unique agency requirements. With that in mind, we are seeking partnerships with Primes in order to help customers with robotic design, prototypes, development, and operational integration.”

Background:

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Information Technology Procurement Office’s (ITPO) 6th Generation of Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurements Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (SEWP VI GWAC) solicitation. The principal purpose of this requirement is to provide the federal government with an all-encompassing one-stop acquisition vehicle for Information Technology Product and Service Solutions.

As of Fall 2023 the “planned release date for the Final Request for Proposal (RFP) is on or about February 2024, with proposals being due approximately 60 calendar days later.” The Draft RFP and details from that period are available here.

The prior iteration of this GWAC, SEWP V consisted of over 140 pre-competed Prime Contract Holders, including more than 100 small businesses.
