REI Systems, a leader in delivering innovative and reliable technology solutions to the federal government for over 35 years, has passed its Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 Third Party Organization (C3PAO) Assessment. This is the first step in achieving CMMC C3PAO certification, which would allow REI to conduct CMMC Level 2 assessments for over 80,000 Defense Industrial Base (DIB) organizations seeking certification.
The CMMC program, established by the Department of Defense, is designed to enforce the protection of sensitive, unclassified information that is shared by the Department with its contractors and subcontractors. It provides increased assurance that the industry is meeting the cybersecurity requirements that apply to acquisition programs and systems that process Controlled Unclassified Information.
REI Systems underwent a rigorous process, implementing robust security controls, conducting internal readiness assessments, and working closely with the Cyber Accreditation Body to meet the stringent CMMC requirements and get assessed by the Defense Contract Management Agency Defense Industrial Base Cybersecurity Assessment Center team. This milestone reflects REI’s proactive investment in cybersecurity maturity and commitment to securing sensitive government and defense information.
“Meeting all the security practices required for a CMMC Level 2 assessment is a testament to our experience in cybersecurity,” said Narpender Bawa, Senior Director at REI Systems. “This milestone reinforces our commitment to protecting sensitive information and, ultimately, supporting the security of the DIB.”
This achievement aligns with REI Systems’ broader mission to lead in digital transformation and cybersecurity compliance services. The company has a long history of delivering secure, scalable, and mission-critical solutions, integrating advanced SecDevOps practices, zero trust architectures, and automation to enhance security across federal agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security and across Health and Human Services.
