QED Awarded Occupational Health & Safety Contract by the US Department of the Treasury

The BEP WCF prints U.S. Currency. In general, the printing process consists of printing, examining, cutting and packaging functions. The BEP has many different industrial processes to support or produce currency, many of which include the use of ink, solvent, powered industrial trucks, metal fabrication machines and large printing presses.

QED is responsible for providing Safety and Industrial Hygiene services to BEP in order toreduce occupational injuries, illnesses and meet regulatory requirements. Specific services include but are not limited to ergonomic assessments; industrial hygiene evaluations, sampling and analysis; occupational risk assessments; respiratory protection assessments; occupational safety and health training; safety and health regulatory compliance evaluations; incident investigations; safety inspections; managing safety programs and policies; and ensuring all International Organization for Standardization (ISO) elements are maintained accordingly
