Peraton has secured a contract worth up to $1 billion through the United States Geological Survey (USGS), under the Department of the Interior (DOI), to manage the acquisition of secure cloud services to transition into a single hybrid enterprise cloud cluster. The Cloud Hosting Solutions (CHS) III contract consists of a five-year base term and three two-year option periods.

The DOI manages America’s vast natural and cultural resources and employs an estimated 70,000 people across nine technical bureaus, including the USGS. Created by an act of Congress in 1879, the USGS provides critical science data to inform policymakers’ decision-making on environmental, resource, and public safety issues.

Peraton will provide secure, optimized cloud enterprise solutions tailored to the department’s specific mission needs using technology rationalization, a customizable enterprise portal, and proven cloud enterprise management.
