The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Contracting Department, Pentagon Directorate, Philadelphia Office is seeking information from interested contractors capable of providing local IT touch labor support with support staff that is minimally certified based on current DOD IT/Cybersecurity requirements, maintain Personnel Security clearances, and be capable of providing IT Help Services with minimal assistance and direction in support of Naval Medical Forces Support Command (NMFSC) located at Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Naval Medical Forces Support Command (NMFSC) is an Echelon 3 organization reporting to the Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery and supports multiple continuums of medical education, training, and qualification through its subordinate commands within its Area of Responsibility (AOR). The Navy Medicine Training Support Command (NMTSC) is an Echelon 4 subordinate command of NMFSC which directly supports initial and advanced medical education conducted at the DHA Medical Education Training Campus (METC). Both commands leverage myriad general office automation and specialized IT systems which support daily operations and require local IT support staff to ensure the operation and accessibility to these critical systems.

The objective of this requirement is to have onsite, “touch labor” in order to execute “hands on” solutions as well as liaison with higher levels of support on behalf of the staff.

The contractor shall perform the following tasks:

  • Provide LAN-based customer support for hardware and software microcomputer problems.
  • Install and maintain software programs and hardware firmware.
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems with hardware, software, and network functions.
  • Coordinate and continuously monitor data communication services.
  • Evaluate system and network performance, proactively initiate Tier 2 and above service requests when remediation is beyond local capabilities.
  • Assist in the monitoring and control of the NMFSC’s life cycle management plan.
  • Coordinate, implement, monitor, and report applicable Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patches and policies as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)/Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)…
