Performance requirements include advanced research and development for scientific, technical and engineering efforts associated with the development and integration of the C4ISR System for NRL’s Space Systems Development Department (SSDD). The performance required under this action is Government specific and includes non-commercial development, integration and support of developmental responsibilities across the entire space/ground spectrum of hardware, software and advanced technologies including digital processing and control analog systems, power, communications, command and telemetry, radio frequency, optical, payload and electromechanical systems, as well as systems engineering.
The purpose of this contract is to provide personnel to perform Systems Engineering Research and Development for the Space Systems Development Department Code 8100.
The following subsections specify the specific engineering tasks, objectives, and elements required for this contract. Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) –
The Contractor shall develop and implement a program management plan to provide systems engineering, integration, test and evaluation, and operations research and development for proof-of-concept, engineering development, and operational based systems defined in the following sub-tasks. [A002]
The contractor shall assist in the technical direction and management of the existing and future Research & Development (R&D) programs. Duties will include, but are not limited to, contractor technical direction, systems engineering, monthly status meeting support, budget development and recommendations, and presentations.
The contractor shall perform hardware and software configuration item updates, configuration change management, configuration status accounting, configuration audits and verification, and Configuration Management (CM) planning and management.
