The National Information Services Center (NISC) Division within the Information Resources Management Directorate (IRMD) handles the development and operation of enterprise systems for the National Park Service (NPS).
Task 1 – Information Resources
The National Information Services Center (NISC) is a crucial component of the National Park Service’s (NPS) digital infrastructure. Task 2 – Commercial Services
The National Park Service (NPS) Commercial Services Program (CSP) is responsible for the oversight of commercial visitor services in the national parks authorized by concession contracts, commercial use authorizations (CUAs), and leases. A wide range of activities and services are provided through these instruments.
- Commercial use authorizations (CUAs): Are granted to permit commercial activities providing visitor services for up to two-year terms. The NPS has approximately 6000 CUAs. CUAs may only be issued to authorize services that:
- Are determined to be an appropriate use of the park;
- Will have minimal impact on park resources and values; and
- Are consistent with the purpose for which the unit was established, as well as all applicable management plans, park policies, and regulations …
