Leidos appoints Robert Linger as vice president for information advantage

Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) recently promoted Robert Linger to lead initiatives aimed at enhancing federal agencies’ efficiency by harnessing automation and AI-driven insights to transform complex data into actionable information.

“Robert’s expertise and visionary leadership will advance our information advantage practice, helping to position our customers to thrive in an increasingly data-centric environment,” said Steve Hull, Leidos Digital Modernization Sector president. “His proven ability to bridge cutting-edge technologies with real-world mission requirements makes him a strong leader for this role.”

Linger has quickly taken the lead in providing secure, centralized large language model access for Leidos employees and turning in-house innovations into practical solutions. By addressing integration challenges and collaborating with external partners, he is streamlining operations and delivering AI-driven capabilities that meet critical customer needs.

“By delivering secure, scalable solutions, we can help customers make faster, smarter decisions,” said Linger. “In an always-evolving digital landscape, repeatable solutions will be key to moving quickly and taking full advantage of the growing pool of data that organizations find themselves with.”

Linger has more than 20 years of experience in executing emerging technology strategies and implementations. Most recently, he was Leidos’ lead AI software architect, leading research and development projects that drove innovation in the company’s AI capabilities.

Linger’s background spanning AI, software, cybersecurity and leadership in both government and private sectors gives him a unique perspective on the intersection of technology and mission execution. His experience as a Marine, founder of a federal contracting company and executive in higher education cybersecurity equip him to drive innovation in Leidos’ information advantage strategy.
