LCG Inc announced this week it has joined the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network (APN) as an AWS Select Tier Service Partner due to its proven technical expertise and demonstrated customer experience with AWS.

With over 20 years of expertise managing complex data centers for the federal government’s scientific research, LCG has developed a deep understanding of the infrastructure and operations (I&O) requirements for biomedical research. This experience has fueled a ten-year journey to the cloud where LCG provides cloud modernization support and cloud migration services to the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

LCG has additional experience supporting HHS Operational Divisions (OPDIVS), the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

“Joining APN gives us the opportunity to boost our capacity to build greater mission support for our clients, in particular, expanding adoption of the NIH Science and Technology Research Infrastructure for Discovery, Experimentation, and Sustainability (STRIDES) Initiative,” according to LCG’s chief technology officer, Chanaka Perera. “We are also working with AWS to provide skills training to help LCG employees effectively leverage cloud services. We’re looking forward to taking the next step in cloud transformation for both our clients and our service delivery teams.”

As an APN member, LCG joins a global network of 100,000 AWS Partners from more than 150 countries working with AWS to provide innovative solutions, solve technical challenges, win deals, and deliver value to mutual customers. LCG will be able to provision new AWS services for the federal government and access the building blocks needed to respond more quickly to the dynamic information technology environment.
