Kentro Wins General Services Administration Contract to Support U.S. Special Operations Command

IT Concepts, Inc. doing business as Kentro (Kentro) announced today that it has been awarded a General Services Administration (GSA) contract to support the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) with its Enterprise Development, Application, and Training (EDAT) services. This contract provides on-demand contractor services to drive accelerated and innovative solutions via application development, integrated training, and scouting and implementation of emerging technology for USSOCOM and its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands, and deployed forces. USSOCOM develops and employs fully capable Special Operations Forces (SOF) to conduct global special operations and activities as part of the Joint Force to support persistent, networked, and distributed Combatant Command operations and campaigns to protect and advance U.S. policies and objectives.

“Achieving peak readiness within the U.S. defense intelligence enterprise requires expertise and cutting-edge and emerging technological solutions,” said Tom Swerdzewski, Kentro Chief Operating Officer. “We look forward to providing the GSA, USSOCOM, its partners, and its customers with the delivery of a full spectrum of services while enabling the USSOCOM Information Environment to sustain the national defense mission.”

The objective of this contract is to provide the USSOCOM ecosystem with enhanced mobility, integrated collaboration, and instantaneous data discovery into operations. Over the next five years, as USSOCOM’s focus transitions into force modernization, the potential for the emergence of unforeseen threats will continue to create operational domain requirements that necessitate an agile, responsive program with a comprehensive training development capability.
