The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has a requirement for INFOCONNECT BRAND SOFTWARE AND MAINTENANCE, DEDICATED SUPPORT ENGINEER SERVICES, AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT Multi-Factor Authentication for High-Value Assets & Mainframe Platforms IRS IT Cybersecurity Continuous Diagnostics & Mitigation Program.

This statement of objectives (SOO) is to:

  1. Enable and enforce phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication (MFA) on Agency high value assets (HVAs), mainframe platforms, and other critical systems and applications in accordance with federal information security mandates, emerging legislative directives, recent audit findings / recommendations, and Agency strategic objectives and security regulations.
  2. Achieve Agency compliance with recent and emerging federal reporting and information security standards
  3. Bolster filing-season critical assets against evolving cybersecurity threats
  4. Remediate recent audit findings and implement recommendations by oversight entities
  5. Further the organization’s transition to a zero-trust security posture in accordance with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity Infrastructure and Security Agency (CISA) Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program framework and Department of the Treasury guidance.
