We are so very excited to announce that Forum One has been recognized in nine categories in this year’s W³ Awards competition.  The W³ Awards competition honors creative excellence on the web and recognizes the creative and marketing professionals behind award-winning sites, videos, and marketing programs. The W³ Awards are sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), an assembly of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.  We are both excited and proud to see that Forum One has been awarded in nine categories for our work in website, video and mobile application development and design.

AARP Livability Index

Gold – Association Website

In 2022, Forum One launched a new, redesigned Livability Index website and data explorer. The Livability Index scores neighborhoods and communities across the U.S. and presents detailed data from more than 50 sources on 61 key factors that most affect their residents’ lives, including housing, neighborhood amenities and conveniences, transportation, environment, health, opportunities for civic engagement, and inclusiveness. This is a ground-breaking web-based tool built using JavaScript technologies that presents the clearest picture yet of how well a community meets the current and future needs of people of all ages, incomes, ethnicities, and abilities.

The new website also applies insights from usability testing to improve the experience of exploring community data to help individuals and families decide where to live, and exploring  data to help community leaders and policymakers serve more of their residents.

National Council for Mental Wellbeing

Silver – Health Website

The National Council on Mental Wellbeing drives policy and social change on behalf of over 3,100 mental health and substance use treatment organizations and the more than 10 million children, adults and families they serve. It advocates for policies to ensure equitable access to high-quality services. Forum One redesigned the National Council’s website to create a digital experience that conveys the value and impact of its new brand. Throughout the site, we designed each page to support their respective desired outcomes – from joining a community, attending a webinar, or purchasing a product, to signing up for an email newsletter or becoming a member. In all scenarios, audiences experience the National Council impact story, strengthening the connection and interest they have in the institution and the important work it is doing.

Pacific Science Center

Silver – Science Website

The Pacific Science Center (PacSci) is an independent, non-profit museum in Seattle with a mission to ignite curiosity and fuel passion for discovery, experimentation, and science for people of all ages and backgrounds. Forum One worked with PacSci to redesign and develop their website in WordPress to highlight the museum’s post-pandemic reopening and connect audiences with their expanded slate of digital events and exhibits. The site offers an intuitive and high-performing experience across devices, with a smooth ticketing process and user-centered design. PacSci’s new website launched in tandem with the museum’s physical reopening, successfully serving a high number of visitors on reopening weekend.

Washington State Wine Commission

Silver – State Government Website

The Wine Commission’s work operates across sectors, combining environmental science and sustainability, tourism, business, and public service, and its digital presence must serve multiple audiences. We crafted clear user journeys to connect site visitors with what they need, including information on visiting Washington wineries, connecting with events and programs, and finding the latest research news and grant opportunities. For all audiences, we designed the site to feature bold visuals and multimedia features that highlight the personal stories, traditions, innovations, and science behind what makes Washington wine unique in the world.

Support Children’s Colorado Foundation

Silver – Health Care Services Website

The goal of the Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation is to care for and cure children through the provision of high-quality care, education, research, and advocacy. The Foundation had to strengthen their online storytelling with content closely aligned with their in-person experience to be positioned as the charity of choice in the Denver area. The organization needed to rethink its digital ecosystem from the ground up and optimize how they are attracting, engaging and growing their target audiences, including donors and supporters. We conducted a comprehensive landscape analysis and full audits of their technical ecosystem, communications, and analytics. Once we had a good sense of our starting point, we conducted workshops to clarify our understanding of the target audience and determine the goals and priorities for the Foundation’s new digital strategy.

EPA.gov

Silver – Federal Government Website

Forum One has worked with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) since 2012 to plan and implement a range of strategic, prioritized efforts to unify and optimize the Agency’s complex enterprise Drupal presence, encompassing hundreds of websites. Over 10 years later, we continue to maintain and modernize the agency’s centralized online experience. We redesigned and re-themed the EPA homepage and created and continue to support a centralized online experience that helps EPA’s site visitors accomplish their tasks more quickly, and lets EPA’s hundreds of content managers do their jobs more effectively.

NMAAHC: A Seat at the Table Event

Silver – Virtual & Remote Experiences, Arts & Culture

The 2022 Seat the Table program examined “The Triumphs and Challenges of Black Education.” The sold-out event brought audiences from across the country to a uniquely-branded virtual experience to share a meal and create connections over dialogue—yes, we actually sent meals to all attendees via local caterers the day of the event!

A Seat at the Table is a signature NMAAHC program that critically examines social justice issues that impact the African American community. Participants observe a conversation on a select topic amongst an expert panel. After the conversation, diners engage in an interactive activity to consider challenging questions about race, identity, and economic justice over a meal. Through this program, participants can make new connections, exchange resources, and return to bond over the next meal. Most importantly, participants state how they will apply insights gained from having a seat at the table to their own lives.

The event platform presented an exciting and unique branded experience. Attendees were assigned to a table, as visualized by the group of tables in the image above, where they experienced the event for the evening. The platform allowed tables to converse throughout the program without being heard by other tables or by people on the stage. Attendees commented how this was nearly like being in person at an event and made their experience more personal and collaborative.

Congratulations to the Forum One team and our wonderful clients who together created these great digital designs and platforms. Your amazing work has been noticed!
