The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is seeking sources to provide an Electronic Record Management (ERM) assessment, implementation plan, and records support services to the Records Information Management Unit (RIMU).
The FDIC strongly encourages the participation of minority-owned and women-owned businesses in all the business and contracting activities of the FDIC.
The Contractor shall provide services and personnel with the necessary skills and experience with electronic records management to complete an electronic records management program needs assessment. The scope includes conducting site and/or system surveys and assessments; identifying business needs for records management; identifying technical news for records management. The needs assessment process should take into account best business practices indicated in OMB/NARA Memorandum M-19-21: Transition to Electronic Records. With an emphasis on the Corporation transitioning permanent and temporary records into an acceptable electronic format with appropriate metadata and electronic recordkeeping management. The contractor shall assist the FDIC with the objective of making a cultural change by revising primarily physical records processes to address electronic processes by default. The contractor shall evaluate existing Corporation internal policies and procedures to address roles and responsibilities (especially for our new electronic systems). The contractor shall assist the FDIC in examining controls around the oversight of the records program. The objective is to create a Records Management oversight and compliance office in accordance with the FDIC Records Management Office’s implementation of the FDIC RIM Program Maturity Model.
