The contractor shall provide support for all elements within enterprise architecture including but not limited to architecture governance, framework, methodology, artifacts, standards, analysis, and defining and tracking transitions from current to future state. The contractor shall also support the FDIC with developing and maintaining IT/business roadmaps, conducting business analysis, analyzing and prototyping emerging technology, maintaining the FDIC technical reference model, optimizing and managing cloud cost, designing platform architecture for low code/no code cloud platforms, maintaining enterprise architecture tools, and managing the FDIC business application inventory.

The Architecture and Design Section (ADS) of the FDIC Chief Information Officer Organization (CIOO) is responsible for informing the process of acquiring, building, modifying, and interfacing IT resources throughout the FDIC. In addition, the ADS is responsible for identifying and articulating the need for change in how FDIC invests in IT at present and in the coming years, as well as facilitating that change.  The ADS also provides other enterprise architecture services to the Corporation such as:

  • Defining the current state and future/target state architectures;
  • Developing strategy;
  • Designing solution architectures, creating prototypes and implementing reference applications;
  • Conducting analysis and research; and
  • Providing governance to achieve the target state.

FDIC anticipates awarding a single contract resulting from the forthcoming solicitation, which will include two proposal and evaluation phases and leverage an advisory down-select process.

This resulting contract’s period of performance is anticipated to be a 12-month base period beginning approximately January 1, 2025, with four (4) 12-month option periods; with work to be performed at the FDIC facilities, or at Contractor facilities, either on-site or remotely within the United States.
