FDA releases Information Technology Operating Plan

The Office of Digital Transformation (ODT) is thrilled to unveil the FDA Information Technology (IT) Operating Plan, a crucial milestone in the agency’s technological evolution. Aligned with the FDA Information Technology Strategy for Fiscal Years (FY) 2024 to 2027, this comprehensive plan sets forth strategies and initiatives to enhance service delivery to the public.

The IT Operating Plan emphasizes transparency, collaboration, and accountability and underscores the FDA’s proactive leadership in IT initiatives. The agency aims to drive innovation and efficiency across its operations by fostering collective efforts and leveraging technology and data. Anticipating the dynamic nature of the environment, the FDA commits to regular reviews of the IT Strategy and Operating Plan.

The FDA developed the IT Operating Plan in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, reflecting a commitment to excellence and innovation in public health service. ODT will refresh the plan annually, incorporating input from internal and external stakeholders to adapt to changing needs.
