The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Office of Acquisition Management (OAQ) proposes to award an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) delivery order on behalf of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO)/Systems Engineering Division (SED)/Application Services Branch (ASB) resulting from a solicitation containing a brand-name specification.

OCIO has used the Jenkins Tool for over 10 years and the continued use of the Jenkins tools is mission critical. It is currently used in the software development (Dev) and Operations (OPS) cloud environment. Alternatives for the Jenkins Tool did not meet OCIO requirements. The Jenkins Tool is the leading open-source automation server (Freeware) that is used for implementing continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines in software development. It helps developers automate various tasks, such as building, testing, and deploying software, making it easier to achieve faster and more reliable releases. CloudBees is based on the enterprise version of Jenkins Tool and DevOps. It is built on the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) which provides more than 1,800 plugins that extend Jenkins to automate with practically any technology software delivery teams. OCIO will procure CloudBees software because Jenkins Tool alone will not improve the application development pipeline, this requires a software that is compatible. For years, OCIO has used the compatible Cloudbees software.
