Columbia, MD, – The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Recipient Integrity Coordination (ORIC) has awarded A P Ventures, LLC (APV) a contract to continue operations and maintenance (O & M) and to provide automation and enhancements to the Present Responsibility Integrity Management System (PRIMS), an Appian-powered case management system used by HHS to oversee conviction-based and fact-based felonies in its contracts and grants. The new multi-year contract will allow APV to provide critical IT services to support PRIMS.

“We are honored to extend our partnership with HHS and ensure the PRIMS system allows ORIC to prevent bad actors from getting federal funding, especially when the federal government must do more with less,” said APV President Nandita Gududuri. “This renewal is a testament to our team’s commitment in going above and beyond to Always Provide Value to the clients we serve.”

Under the original contract, APV built a solid foundation in developing and customizing PRIMS.
This included migrating data from Excel documents to Appian, automating workflows, and overseeing program maintenance and many other enhancements. The new Appian-based system provides a transparent and efficient process for managing suspensions and debarments while also offering robust features for document extraction, approval tracking, and audit trails. For the new contract, APV will continue to improve on these processes, ensuring that the system operates seamlessly for HHS staff by implementing emerging technologies like AI, RPA, and low-code platforms.

APV is proud to continue to assist the HHS Assistant Secretary for Financial Resources (ASFR) with improving PRIMS to ensure swift action is taken to protect federal programs and funds and safeguard federal funding.
