Accenture Federal Services Wins $90 Million Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Award

Accenture Federal Services has won a $90 million prime contract to provide data analytics and vulnerability research and analysis support to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) in its effort to proactively strengthen its partners’ cybersecurity posture.

CISA’s mission is to lead the national effort to protect and enhance the resilience of the nation’s physical and cyber infrastructure. By using best practices from the private sector, Accenture Federal Services is supporting the agency’s Cybersecurity Division (CSD) Vulnerability Management (VM) Insights Branch with delivering timely and actionable guidance on risk mitigation strategies to the agency’s partners and stakeholders.

“Accenture Federal Services values our work with CISA helping to ensure senior leaders at departments, agencies, and the private sector throughout the United States understand their role in reducing the likelihood and impact of a potentially damaging compromise,” said Accenture Federal Services CEO, Ron Ash. “This is important work, as it supports the agency and its partners with protecting our nation’s critical infrastructure and enhancing overall cyber resilience.”

CISA’s VM Insights Branch plays a key role in CISA’s implementation of the Cyber Incident Reporting for Critical Infrastructure Act of 2022 (CIRCIA). This legislation marks an important milestone in improving America’s cybersecurity by requiring that covered entities report covered cyber incidents and ransomware payments, enabling the agency to rapidly spot trends and share information with network defenders.

“CISA plays a critical role in enabling cyber risk reduction, strengthening critical infrastructure resilience, and reducing attack surface exposure in the face of increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks,” said Paloma Prutsok, a managing director in Accenture Federal Services and CISA Client Account Lead. “Our team looks forward to using our global expertise to deliver transformative analytic products and solutions that help execute the VM mission.”

The length of the CISA CSD VM Insights contract is a one-year base with four option years.

In 2021, Accenture Federal Services was awarded a $112 million prime task order from CISA to protect Federal Civilian Executive Branch systems against cyberattacks.

Earlier this year, Accenture Federal Services and Google Public Sector expanded their strategic alliance and launched a Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (COE). The COE introduces Mandiant’s threat intelligence into Accenture Federal Services’ cyber solutions.
