Following 32 years of Army Service, time in industry leading DOD and Army growth efforts, and most recently leading BD for Military Health and Human Performance Divisions, this successful growth lead, with expertise in Defense, Security, Health, and Technology takes on a new role. What does it mean for Patrick Walsh and this growing team?
Why the move to REI Systems?
My role with REI is focused is on growing our customer base within the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs, building on my relationships and prior success understanding customer vision, developing strategy, and establishing new customers.
REI has tremendous growth potential and in-house Low-Code/No-Code Developers which is unparallel to others in Industry. I knew that REI would be a great fit for me because of their small business approach, but large business acumen, and great reputation for SAFe Agile practices.
What is it about the company you are excited about?
REI has incredible growth potential supported by its unwavering support to customer and mission success. My 32 years in uniform imbued the importance of mission success and taking care of the people who work alongside you while working to exceed the mission, requirements, and goals. REI’s Core Values and Mindful Modernization delivery approach are a direct reflection of what I believe in. The company’s Team of Team’s approach reminds me of some of the most elite units/organizations that I have served in.
What does your addition mean for REI in terms of future strategies/ plans?
As a Disabled Veteran, Soldier For Life, and Ranger Leading the Way, I have found a home at REI where I can assist in growing out our DoD/Veteran support, especially in the Human Capital and Readiness Systems. REI has a breadth of IT and Advisory Solutions experience and an emerging offering in AI that are uniquely positioned to support these efforts.
By understanding the demands of customers when it comes to the need for Agile Development, low-code/no-code, and the expansion of federated data sets and multi-cloud environments, there are many ways we can help move the DoD and VA forward.
Business today seems to be all about partners. Who do you want reaching out to you (are there small businesses with capabilities you would like to hear from/ folks with expertise in certain areas, etc.)?
REI is a “just-the-right-size organization” that Tier 1 Large Business should be reaching out to or assistance in winning captures and proposals.
