Artemis Provides Support to Department of Transportation

Artemis, in partnership with Aptive Resources, received a contract award from the Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to support a communications strategy for the FMCSA’s Motor Carrier Safety Applied Analysis Program. This award was issued through the DOT Services for Technical Writing, Editorial, Presentations and Communication (STEPC) indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract.

The FMCSA’s Analysis program collects, analyses and disseminates data on roadway crashes, FMCSA safety activities and the operations and safety performance of motor carriers and drivers. The program provides critical information and analysis to FMCSA’s program areas and field organization and to the larger transportation community, including state partners, other government agencies, researchers, the motor carrier industry, safety advocacy groups and the public. Users access FMCSA data and analysis through an information resource tool, Analysis and Information (A&I) Online.

Artemis and Aptive will support the communications strategy for the A&I Online tool, which includes conducting a stakeholder analysis, crafting messaging and developing tactics to inform FMCSA’s program areas, field organization and larger transportation community.

“The information that FCSMA provides is important, relaying data on roadway crashes, safety activities and the operations and safety performance of motor carriers and drivers,” said Jess Overbeck, director of communications and marketing. “Our team is excited to help relay critical information from the FMCSA Analysis Program to researchers, the motor carrier industry, safety advocacy groups, the public and other involved stakeholders.”
